Double Decked Pendants - 1 Stone, 2 Layers

Each piece begins with a natural stone and develops through a deliberately tedious process of cutting, shaping, fitting, soldering, stamping, cleaning, and polishing. The glyphs are individually hand stamped, and the proportions and details of each setting are worked out specifically for the stone it surrounds.

The result is jewelry with depth, literally and visually. The layers create shadows, texture, and dimension, while each stone brings its own color, pattern, and natural variation.

No molds. No cast replicas. Every pendant is fabricated individually in the Bayou Brass studio (my living room basically), so no two are exactly alike.

There are no shortcuts in this process. Each stage requires attention to detail because one mistake can affect everything that comes after it. The finished pendants carry the evidence of that process: slight variations, handmade marks, irregularities, and all the little details that make something feel made rather than manufactured.
