Properties & Symbolism
Seam agate is often associated with grounding, stability, and connection to the natural world. Thought to encourage balance and emotional resilience, it is valued for its steady, nurturing energy. The layered patterns are said to symbolize growth through time, making it a meaningful stone for transformation and strength rooted in patience.
History
Agate is a variety of microcrystalline quartz formed through the slow deposition of minerals within volcanic rock. Seam agate, distinguished by its naturally banded and fractured formations, has been used in adornment and tools for thousands of years due to its durability and visual depth. Moroccan agates are especially prized for their rich color saturation and dramatic natural patterning.
