This pendant is constructed using the Double Deck technique - a tedious, multi-step process requiring careful measuring, cutting, soldering, fitting, and finishing. The surrounding glyphs are individually hand stamped into the metal, one impression at a time.
Rainbow moonstone is prized for its luminous blue, white, and spectral flashes that appear as the stone moves through the light. Natural inclusions, internal lines, and variations are part of the character of the stone and make each piece unique.
In New Age traditions, rainbow moonstone is associated with intuition, new beginnings, emotional balance, and feminine energy. It is often considered a stone of cycles, transition, and inner reflection.
Rainbow moonstone has a Mohs hardness of approximately 6–6.5.
