The Stepped Ring draws from the stepped geometry found throughout Mesoamerican visual traditions. Its angular form references the Maya cross, a symbol whose meaning extends beyond a strictly religious interpretation.

For Maya Yucatec communities, the cross also became associated with identity, struggle, and resistance.This design invites the wearer to consider how symbols evolve, how cultural identity endures, and how an ancient visual language can continue to carry meaning in the present.
