Kambaba Jasper is a sedimentary stone, it’s made up of quartz and Stromatolites. It’s basically a stone of ancient fossilized colonies created by blue-green algae 3 million years ago. So, it’s said to draw its wisdom from its ancient life energies and encourages one to open the heart to loving the self and others more fully and increases the ability to receive love in return. Garifuna Beluria (9th night) is a custom where a life is celebrated on the 9th night after a member of the community passes away. The 9th night is the night that the deceased passes to meet with the ancestors. I paired this stone with this custom because I wanted to physically and theoretically partner love and ancient wisdom with Ancestors and celebration in this realm and the next. This ring is my way of fusing the two into something tangible.
