How is it made?

During the glassmaking process, pure copper is melded into the matrix to produce a swathe of microscopic sparkling spheres. 

History: Goldstone is a very special kind of treated glass because of its rich and long history. It was made using a technique perfected in Venice by the Miotti family, which was a closely guarded secret for hundreds of years. Urban legend says goldstone was an accidental discovery by unspecified Italian monks or the product of alchemy, but there is no pre-Miotti documentation to confirm this.
