Properties & Symbolism
Pietersite is often associated with transformation, inner strength, and clarity during change. Traditionally linked to both the solar plexus and third-eye chakras, it is believed to encourage confidence, intuition, and focused decision-making. Its dynamic patterning reflects movement and momentum, making it a powerful statement piece.
History
Pietersite was discovered in Namibia in 1962 and is sometimes referred to as the “Tempest Stone” due to its chatoyant, storm-like appearance. Formed from brecciated fibers of tiger’s eye and hawk’s eye, each stone displays a completely unique internal landscape.
